The phones that are top-of-the-line and very popular will cost a lot more, simply because these phone will not be put on a contract. The more features you demand, the more money you will end up spending at least as far as the phone itself is concerned.

Coverage
The coverage that is available with prepaid mobile phone plans may vary from carrier to carrier but should be at par with contract phones. With some prepaid plans, you will have to pay for extra coverage. This is what is known as a dead zone. While you are in the dead zone, you will not be able to send or receive calls or texts. There is no purpose of purchasing a phone if you are not able to use it and all of its features. There are several features that are associated with prepaid mobile plans. A lot of people decide to purchase unlimited prepaid plans so they will not have to worry about exceeding the minutes on their plan and having to pay extra money as a result. Prepaid plans come in both versions — per minute purchase plans and unlimited, flat rate plans as well.
